Proposed changes to minimum EPC standards set to impact UK landlords

UK landlords are set to be impacted by proposed changes to minimum EPC standards. By 2025 every commercial building in the UK will require an EPC and subject to government approval, a minimum rating of C will be required by 2027 and B by 2030.

Currently, 90% of all non-domestic properties in the UK have a rating below B (gov.uk). This represents a significant cost for landlords who will have to pay to improve their buildings to the required standard. Onsite energy solutions such as rooftop solar arrays are one way to improve a building’s EPC rating.

Atrato Onsite Energy intends to lead the way in the deployment of rooftop solar across the UK, helping landlords and corporates to lower their energy costs and decarbonise their businesses.
